Snow, snow and more snow!

Ok... so we live in the desert...... there is a reason for that. It is because we, well I, do not really like snow. It is great to look at and to go to play in once and a while, but not at my house! We usually get maybe 1-2 inches of snow a year and that is enough for me.

Well, on Monday of last week the kids had a snow day from school, because more than half our district had snow... not us. Well then Tuesday we had an "ice" day... too much ice for the buses to travel. Then at 4:35 in the morning on Wednesday we get a call cancelling school AGAIN! I was not happy. I looked out the window and at least this time we had a light dusting of snow on the ground. Back to bed I went.... I got up at a little after 7:00am, and we had almost 4 inches of snow. The snow kept coming and coming. We ended up with 23 inches of snow. That is what Utah gets, not the high desert in California! Needless to say, they kids did not have school all week and now it is Winter Break!

Well living on a dirt road where nobody cares about us, but us.... we were snowed in for 3 days. We had no Internet, but we did have each other. Here are some pictures. I have a ton more.... so over the next few days I will add some more.

This is the back yard.

We had to push all the snow off the trampoline so they could play on it. Kade and Abi tried to jump on it with the snow on it. It did not work very well. That is Jace trying to get out to the trampoline, he could barely walk out there. The snow was up to his thighs.

This is the front yard. The suburban was stuck there and the little cars were completely covered!
