Sometimes we just need to listen....

As most of you know I do a lot of Genealogy (Family History) for my family. I have been really concentrating on my mom's mom (Grandma Blewett) side of the family. I also have been working on Grandpa Blewett's (my mom's step-dad) side of the family.

Recently I have really had the prompting to work on my Moody side (my mom's real dad). I have never really done work on this side. I found that my great grandparents needed work done, so I did that. One of my great great grandfathers I had his initials but not his wife's name. I have been searching for it, but since I only had initials and no wife's name I was stuck. I had been praying about it, hoping that I might get some guidance and I had this feeling to look in Grandpa's box. Well.... me being stubborn, I did not look. I had the feeling all through church and while I was cooking dinner. After dinner I told Mike that I needed to go look in the box... and he said whatever.

As I took the time to sit down and look in the box and through all the letters and papers that my grandpa had sent home with me a few months ago, I found what I was looking for. I find my great grandmothers parents names. I was excited. I imputed them in to the Family Search program and found that they were already there and that the work for my great great grandmother was completed. It had her parents and grandparents in there. I knew that her line went back a few generations but I was unsure how far back. I again had a feeling to look at her line on a different church program but did not do it.

So... this morning I sat down to take a look at it..... As I pushed the little arrows to go back more generations, more arrows kept popping up. I am not sure how far back this line that I have discovered goes, but I do know that it goes back at least 20 generations, to English royalty. The program froze, I think I had to many people for it to load, but I am very glad that I listened to the little voice in my head/heart that told me to look in grandpa's box!

Sometimes we just need to listen!
