Yup... that is right... we took a quick little trip for the weekend to Bakersfield. I have had several people ask me why in the world would you take a "quick trip" to Bakersfield... one word... Mavericks!
We can get free tickets to games (two ways... 1. from the players, 2. because Mike is the team photographer). So we headed to Bakersfield right after Abi got off the bus from school. Here are some pictures from our quick little trip.

Since we had all day Saturday until the game at 7, the kids played in the pool for almost 4 hours at the hotel....

then we went to Target to buy school supplies and then headed to Chuck E Cheese for about 2 hours.... what a way to beat the heat!!

After looking for some geocaches and eating dinner we headed to the stadium.

Since the Mavericks are in the playoffs, there could be a chance that we are back in Bakersfield for playoffs. Go Mavs!
