1 semester done!

Today was the last day of my first semester at Argosy University.  I am not sure how many people know, but I have gone back to school to get my Master's of Counseling Psychology.  I decided about a year ago that I needed to go back to school to get my Master's degree "just in case."   Most of you know that in May of 2011, Mike was injured playing softball, then in June of 2011 he developed blood clots in his leg and one of them embolized into his lungs.  That doesn't sound too scary, but he could have died.  It was a very scary time in my life, I cried and prayed a lot!  Luckily through faith and the power of the priesthood he was healed and all is ok.

Since Mike works at Argosy, I am able to get a special grant through his work, they pay all of my tuition, I only have to pay the student service and technology fees and buy my books; as well as get good grades.  This semester I am proud to say that I earned A's in all 3 of my classes.

I am truly enjoying going to school, learning and growing.  Hopefully I will be able to utilize this degree to help someone.  I am looking into all my options and already have an internship offer (although it is over 18 months away!).  I am excited for this change in my life and feel that I am following the path that Heavenly Father wants me to follow.

Our family has to deal with mommy being gone 2 or 3 nights a week, since my classes are at night.  Daddy and Madison are doing a great job at holding down the fort and making sure that everyone is fed.
