New Dryer!

For some this might not be a big deal, but for me it is! Our dryer has been making really odd noises and leaving beautiful brown streaks on our clothes for about 6 months now. It sounds really bad and I am afraid that it might burn up really soon. So, I have been looking for about 2 weeks for a new dryer. The one we have is almost 12 years old (which I understand is a LONG time for a dryer to last).

The other day I was talking to my mom, telling her how I was not sure where the best price was, I am not sure how GE compares to Whirlpool or to Kenmore. She told me that my grandpa just got a great deal on a set. So I called grandpa. He told me to go talk to his "friend" at Lowes. So over there I went today. I got an AWESOME deal on this dryer.

On Lowes.com is it like $700+ dollars. I got this dryer for $350. Since we live where we live, I have to have it converted to Propane. The kits to convert the dryer run between $30-$50. When I talked to Sheila at Lowes, she asked what my "requirements" were. I told her that it had to be propane and the door had to be a side-swing. I did not want one that pulled down, it would be a seat for Jace. Since I told her that I needed propane, she threw the kit in for the discounted price.

Now... what is wrong with the dryer you are all asking.... ok.... there is a red scratch on it... but it is sooo tiny that I barely noticed it. I can probably remove it with nail polish remover!

I am excited... we will see how it works, the propane company is coming out tomorrow to convert it and hook it up for me! I will keep you posted on how it works. Oh, by the way, Sheila is watching for a "scratched" washer that matches for me!
