Every year we go to the Valley of Fire to camp one of the first weekends in March. Why March? Because it use to be the kids Spring Break and any other time it would be way to hot... hence the name Valley of Fire. Here is our family getting ready to head out on the White Domes hike.
We have always gone to the Valley of Fire with Grandma Sue and the past couple of years Grandpa Steve has joined us. It is not always warm, one year we ended up in a nasty motel (if that is what you want to call it!) because it snowed on us and Jace was still little.
Since Grandma Sue and Grandpa Steve are in Argentina on their mission, we thought that we would bring them along anyway. Here they are "GRockMa Sue and GRockPa Steve."
They went on all hikes and adventures with us. Mike even took them out in the early morning to see the sunrise. You will see in some of the picture of the kids, that they have them in their hands. I could do a whole other slideshow of the GRockParents! Well here it is... their slide show! I did add captions to this slideshow, so you would know where they are!
Last year we left a note in one of the rocks on the White Domes hike. We wondered if it would still be there.... Here is Abi's reaction... what do you think.... was it there?
Yes.... it was still there. This is Abi reading the letter now.
We added to our letter and put it back. Will it be there next year?
I have a ton of pictures I could add... but there are over 50 in the first slide show and about 25 in the GrockParents Slideshow. Enjoy until next year!

I now can see why you guys like going there so much, I have always wondered, because my Mom & Dad took me there once in July and it was miserable. It's beautiful!
