After the icicle incident, we headed out to find a sledding spot. We headed down the mountain and before we got too far we found a spot that the boys thought was good. We parked and got everything ready. We had the big sled that we bought a few years ago and I bought a disc sled earlier today. There were no footprints or anything at the spot that we stopped. I was a little worried that the powder might be too soft, so I put Kade up on the snow bank and he did not sink. He headed up the little hill side and made a "track" for him and Jace. He did a couple of "runs" to make it a good spot for Jace, he also made sure to try and stomp the snow down on his way up to make a safe path.
After I got Jace all ready for snow play, he took the big sled and headed up the path that Kade had made. Kade reminded him to walk in his footprints and he could get up easier. Jace was struggling, so Kade came to help.

The boys had a blast playing on this little hill with their 2 sleds. Here is Jace at the bottom of the hill.

The boys together. They can be nice to each other!

Kade after a good "run."

Jace getting ready to head down on the big sled... he really did not like the little disc one, it went to fast.

Here is Kade coming down the little hill. He had a lot of fun and would go down 2 or 3 times to Jace's one time.

Here is a video of the boys "racing" down the hill. It is kind of funny, Jace is okay! At first when the boys would go down the little hill, they would stop at the embankment made by the plows. After about 10 times, the lip of the embankment was worn down.... Here is what happened after that.
They were safe! The car was parked next to the little hill, there was a good 50-60 feet from the actual lane that cars were driving in. Jace does have a few little red spots on his face, but he got back up and went down the hill several more times!
We had a lot of fun sledding, I even went down 1 time. I did not have ski pants on, just my jeans and that is not a good idea when playing in snow! I got soaked! But the boys had fun and want to try to do it again next week!

Looks like you had a fun adventure. I love the picture of Kade stuck in the snow. He and Elizbaeth would get along great, she is always wanting iceciles too! I hope your kids have school today, mine don't and just a dusting of snow.
I am glad you guys had so much!! The pix turned out great! I am jealous, after we leave, you guys have record snow storms two years in a row!!
