Here is a picture of the lake and valley. It was very pretty (minus the mosquito's!)
Sunday night we had a fire. The kids enjoyed playing games, telling stories and singing songs.
On Monday we headed down to the lake for some fun. Some sat on the beach, played in blow up boats and rafts, we on the big boat and tubed. Some tried to ski, wake board and knee board.
Here is a picture of Jace, Kylie, Abi and Mike with the paddle boat.
Kade played in the water too.
Hunter and Lisa on the tube.
We were short on rafts, so Sue blew up two air mattresses that she brought just in case. Here is Cheila, Ashley and Lauren on the mattress raft.

We had a little bit of "National Geographic" happening on the beach. A snake attacked a mouse and strangled it. Mike got this picture (as well as a few more) of the incident.
Everyone was going on the tube and saying how cool it was... Rachelle and I thought we would give it a try. I ended up being dumped first, but it was fun. My shoulders and arms were sore, I am not sure if it was worth it or not!

Sue and Steve missed Thanksgiving dinner last year while on their mission (Debbie missed it to, because she was in the hospital having a baby) so we had Thanksgiving in July. Randall made the ham, turkey and rolls in dutch ovens. It was yummy!

Kade refused the entire time to get on the boat. When we were almost done on Tuesday we convinced him to get on.... he did not like it at all!
The moon... the stars were awesome at night..... there was no light from anywhere. Monday and Tuesday nights we spent looking at the stars, watching for shooting stars and satellites.

We had a great time spending time together as a family, as well as getting to know Steve's family. I know that I made new friends and I think the kids did too!

I was brave enough to try the tube one more time with Mike.

Mike and I took a little drive/walk to a creek up the road a ways. It was pretty and a nice chance to have some alone time.
