Last Summer Adventure.... Zion

We took one last little summer get away as a family before school starts (tomorrow).  We went camping in Zion.  We left here on Saturday and drove to St. George where we enjoyed swimming and relaxing at a hotel.  Sunday morning we headed to church, then after church to Zion.  We had a fun filled few days.  It was hot, but at least the river was cold!

Here are some pics from our trip.

On Sunday after we got the tents set up we went for
a drive.  We went over to Checkerboard Mesa.

On the Canyon Overlook Hike.

Our family at the top of the hike overlooking the valley.

I love these flowers... but we
found out at the Ranger presentation
that these flowers are deadly.

Jace with his Jr. Ranger book.

All the kids tubing down the Virgin River.

Jace is fearless!

Kade actually got on the tubes in the water!

Abi was pretty fearless, she was also a great helper with stopping Jace.

Madison enjoyed tubing (if she could stay balanced)

Jace, Abi and Hunter tubing

Cheila enjoying the tubes too.

Mike and I even went tubing...

I love to see the wildlife in Zion.

Poo sticks.

Daddy, Abi & Hunter went on a hike and
found this pretty waterfall.

It was so windy the tents were collapsing!
School starts tomorrow.  The kids are excited, I am excited, but I am not sure who is more excited!
