After breakfast and a quick swim in the pool we headed home. But of course we had to stop other places. Abi will be studying California Missions next year, so we thought we would check some of them out. First stop... Mission San Jose (14 of 21 missions)

The "baptistery" inside the mission. The kids asked how the people go inside it?? We had to talk to the kids about this. Abi said "That is not what Jesus taught us" when we explained how the Catholic church baptizes its members.
The church is beautiful. This is how it was decorated in 1930.

Then we headed more south to the Santa Clara Mission. It is in the middle of Santa Clara University (obviously the University was built around it) There was not a lot to see here other than the church, which we did not take any pictures inside of because there were people praying.

We were going to see one other mission, but it is closed on Mondays. So we headed toward home via Fresno.....
