First Day of School

It is the first day of school... can I get a "wooohooo"?!?!? Everyone is pretty excited (Except for Kade) Here they are all ready to go to school.

Abi, Kade and Jace outside of their school.

Jace is a big first grader. He is very excited. He already knows his teacher so he is happy to be here.

He found his desk pretty quickly all by himself!

Kade looks pretty happy here to be at school. He is a little nervous. He has heard that his teacher is really mean. He also does not like change. I am sure he will do great and the nerves will wear off quickly!

Kade also found his desk pretty easily. Some of the kids had a hard time because their names are in cursive. Kade has been trying to write his name in cursive for over a year.

Last for this school... Abigail. She is in the fourth grade. She has a teacher that is new to the school, so we do not know anything about her. Abigail is excited about all the stuff that she can do this year, since she is in 4th grade. She definitely will be in choir again, but hoping to get into Peace Patrol. Just what she needs, power on the playground!

No assigned seats here... sit where you want... hopefully that changes soon!

After I dropped the little kids off, I headed to take Madison to Quail... here she is in front of the school.

Wondering where the pic is??? There is not one, so here is Madison leaving the car... she is a big 8th grader and did not want me walking her into school or taking her picture... I gotta take what I can get!

They all had a great first day and are excited to be back in school... ok well Mommy is excited for them to be back in school! It was very weird having a quiet house for a bit. I enjoyed dropping my kids off, heading to the temple to meet Mike. Then I came home and worked on a project that I am doing for a bridal shower (which is tomorrow) and then headed to do pick ups.
This year our school district has decided to charge $1.00 per child, per way, each day to school. That is $8 a day for my kids to ride the bus... it comes to about $1400 for the school year to put my kids on the bus. My neighbor and I are car pooling.... hopefully the district will change their mind soon and go back to free buses.... we shall see!
Looking forward to this school year, to see how my kids learn and grow! It reminds me of our Heavenly Father watching each of us on our journey here on earth. Are we making him proud with the choices we make every day?
