Grand Canyon (7 of 8)

On our Thanksgiving trip, we decided that since we were not that far from the Grand Canyon, that we would take the kids.  I had also never been, and Mike went when he was younger. 

Here is the first picture we took of the kids.

We rode the bus up to Hermits Rest, then we walked down over a mile, to the next bus stop.  The kids were pretty good about walking.  We got some attitudes about it, but we had fun.

All of the kids did the Junior Ranger program.  Here they are getting "Sworn In" as Grand Canyon Junior Rangers.

It was a lot of fun.  Here is a picture of the sunset on the way out. 

Mike and I would have loved to have stayed at Hopi Point and watched the sunset, but we thought the kids were already getting a little cranky and we had a 2+ hour drive to the hotel.  There is one more post to come!
