yup.... you read that correctly... ABI'S first softball game. It is true that she was not playing this season. She made that decision before Thanksgiving. The season started on the 12th, we got a phone call last Thursday asking us if she wanted to play. A Minor A Softball Team (the "Lady Rebels") was down 2 players and they needed someone quick. I talked to her about it, explained to her that because of Daddy and Mommy coaching the boys teams that there would be times that she would have to go with my friend Michelle, or maybe grandma could come. She agreed, so we talked about it with Daddy.
She wanted to play really badly, so I went and got her the things that she needed. Glove, helmet, pants, undershirt, socks, etc. She had a scrimmage game on Saturday.... (I do not have pics from any of Saturday's games because they are on Mike's camera). She had her first official game tonight. Here are some pics!

Abi only got up to bat one time. It was a new pitcher in the top of the 4th inning, Abi was hit by the first pitch. She then stole 2nd base on a passed ball, then stole 3rd on a passed ball, she tried to steal home on a passed ball, but needed to slide and was too scared since her side was hurting so bad. (She also got hit in the scrimmage game on Saturday in the same spot.) Her team ended up loosing, but it was not a shut out, a couple of the girls after her in the line up were able to score. She was the first one to make it to 2nd or 3rd in the game for her team. Way to go Abi and the Lady Rebels... we are proud of you!

Abi is TALL!! I am surprised when I look at these photos, that is awesome that she is taking off with it, I love her team name as well:)
