Girls Camp

Even though Mike had just come home from the hospital, we decided together that I should still go to Girls Camp.  I had commited to be a PAL (Adult Leader) at Girls Camp with Cheila as my counselor.  I had put so much time into girls camp the past month and Grandma Sue was here to take care of Mike and the three little kids that there was no reason for me to stay home.  I was only about an hour away.  So after getting Mike settled, presciptions filled and my bag and car packed I headed to Camp Hinckly.  (Cheila had gone up earlier with the other counselor and leader from our ward)

The theme for Girls Camp was "Learning from the Past, to build a brighter Future."  Each cabin was assigned a time period and we were the "Cave-Women."  It was a fun theme and we had a great time.  Here are some pictures from my week at camp in no particular order (unfortunately I don't have a lot of Hunter because she was in another group.)
This is my cabin.  Jose is the dinosuar.
He was a much sought after guy at camp.
He was kidnapped only once :)

Cheila eating her banana boat.  The girls made hotdogs
and banana boats for certification requirements.

This year we took the girls to Lake Gregory to cook,
hike and canoe.  Here is Madison on her canoe.

We had secret cabins, that we were suppose to do
something nice for.  So we heart attacked their cabin
with hearts and Hershey Kisses.  We also "mooned" them.

Here is my cabin of girls on the last day.  We made
animal print curtains and had streamers as decorations.

Bishop's night dinner.

We had a fashion show.  My girls all made their own outfits.
The week before camp I had a little get together where they made them.

Cheila and Madison.  I made all the girls in my cabin
a fleece blanket and pillow like these ones.

The view from right outisde our cabin.
I had a good time.  I am so glad that I went.  I was able to feel the spirit of the young women in my ward and stake.  My family that I left at home was in great hands with grandma Sue!  I have been asked if I am going next year.... and my answer is.... I would love to, if I am asked.  We will just have to wait and see :)
