I got a phone call from the school nurse on Friday, telling me that I needed to come pick up Abigail. She said that she is exhibiting more than one of the "signs" of Swine Flu... called "Piggie Flu" around our house.
So I went and picked her up. Her symptoms were.... fever 100.1, headache, body hurts (as Abi called it), sore throat and she could not swallow. Well as many of you know, these are ALL symptoms on Swine Flu. So I took her home. She acted fine! I figured she was trying to just come home.
She really started acting like she was not feeling good so I called the doctor. Of course he was already out for the day, so I would have to call at 7:00 AM the next morning. Well I did and she was seen.... she does not have "Piggie Flu," but she does have Strep throat (AGAIN!).
While in the doctors office, Dr. Koyle shared with me an email he got from the higher ups at Kaiser. It was a picture similar to this one....
The note from his "boss" said something like, this is how we can all prevent Swine Flu.
Now we all know how Swine Flu got here!

PS... Abi is feeling better as of tonight... we will see what tomorrow morning brings, as she starts state testing!

Oh my gosh! That picture is just wrong!!! So hilarious!!! I'm glad Abi doesn't have the piggie glu, but I'm not sure if strep throat is any better! Let me know about piano lesson.
