Roadshow 2010

As most of you know I was in charge of Roadshow for our ward this year. YES.... there are stakes out there that still really do Roadshow! (and we are one of them)

The theme was "Under the Sea" We were told to not recreate scripture stories... I am not creative enough to write a script! Bro. Conforti in my ward wrote the script... with a few music changes, line changes and movement changes we were ready to go! This has been a REALLY long 8 weeks!

We performed the Roadshow on Friday night for all the casts to see, then hit the road traveling to three buildings in less than three hours on Saturday. Overall I think the kids had a great time. I am certainly glad that it is over, it was a lot of work. Luckily I had some great people to stand by me and help! Jaina Ericson did all my choreography and Janeen Porter jumped in at the last minute to help paint and fix the backdrop and props!

Madison was a clam and was the leader of her dance. They did a simple ballet dance to the Sugar Plum Fairy song from The Nutcracker.

Here is the whole cast and some of my stage crew from Friday night.
I have video of the performances, but the files are too big to put on here. It was fun, but like I said, I am glad that it is over! I am also very grateful to Mike for his love and support through all of it... I am glad that he was here to listen to my whining and complaining and to help me when I needed him.
