Jace Kindergraduation "Graduation"

Jace had Kindergarten "Graduation."

The way the school did it with the Kindergartners this year, is they had them taken up to the high school. They were all given T-Shirts that say "Serrano High School Class of 2022 Bridge Program."

As parents we were under the impression that this was to replace their Kindergarten Promotion. It was a fabulous idea. All the Kindergartners were to walk in with a graduating senior, wearing their new T-Shirt. Then we thought they would announce the kid as they walked across the stage. Boy were we wrong.

Jace did walk in the stadium with a graduating senior. We worked it out so he could walk in with Amanda, our "neighbor" and friend. Here they are.

Like I said, they were talking to the Kindergartners and senior class. Here is the group, I circled Jace so you can see him.

The Superintendent, School Board President, High School Principal and Government Teacher all spoke to the kindergartners. They were SOOOOOO bored! Then the football quarterback sang a song with them. Then they taped the kids saying "Be the Bridge" (hence the bridge program). Not exactly sure what the "Bridge Program" is. Unfortunately, they never mentioned the kindergartners names. Told us a count on kindergartners that are graduating this year. Nothing! Once they did their little video, they dismissed the seniors, then asked the parents in the stands to come get their kids and the rest of the little kids to get on the buses.

Jace had a good time.

There was so much potential for this program... but I hate to say it, I think the government teacher was just using our kindergartners and seniors to benefit himself and selling his program.

We are so proud of Jace completing his first year in school! As of tomorrow he will be a big first grader!
