When we got there, Kade was a little hesitant of the water... man he can jump! Jace of course had no fear!

Jace spent a lot of time doing this.... we are not really sure what he is doing or why.

The kids built this cool sand castle... we did not get a picture of the final product, but they all worked hard on it.
Austin was particular about some parts.

Mike and I went for a walk while the kids were building the castle, we saw a sea lion in the water.

It was a great day... I am glad we went to San Diego for a little family time and that we got to spend part of it with our extended family.... I think we need to do this a little more often. We had plenty of points on our credit card (thanks to Mike's work) so the hotel was free!

We need to take our kids to the beach. John would either love it or hate it. I know he would love the sand, not so sure what he would think of the constant noise of the waves, or of the waves hitting him. It is on our list do "someday".
You guys always do such great things together, and yes that is weird to have such nice weather in San Diego in November to be able to go to the beach, that just means it was meant to be=-)
