The kids had several field trips the past few weeks... school is coming to an end, so they can go do some fun stuff. I was able to go with Abi on her field trip to Riley's Farm. The field trip was suppose to emulate the Gold Rush in California. It was ok. I think the kids would have learned more if they understood what was happening.
Here are 2 pics from our day there.

Abi panning for gold with her friend Megan.
They were not very successful in this part of the field trip. |

Abi trading her gold for money. At the beginning of the day
gold was being bought for $10,000 per ounce. By the end of
the day, it was being bought for $100 per ounce. |
I am glad I was able to go. We had a good time.

That would be an interesting field trip to go on..it is neat to see them learning that money doesn't grow on trees, and things actually cost!!
