First we saw the little baby fish. Here they are in the tank indoors. There were thousands of little fish in the tank.

Then we went outside where the fish get bigger as you go down the rows. Again there were thousands of fish in the rows.

The kids were able to "feed" the fish. They gave them little dixie cups of fish food, which they threw into the water and the fish swarmed.

The further down the rows you go, the bigger the fish are and the smaller amounts of fish per area. You can see that a lot of the fish are pretty big.

The hatchery is on the lower campus of Victor Valley College, but it is run by the California Department of Fish and Game. Anyone can go to the hatchery and see the fish and feed them. It was kinda cool to see the tiny fish, up to the big ones. They stock about 40 lakes throughout California with the fish that are raised here.
