Walk-A-Thon

This year the kids school held a Bryan Clay Walk-A-Thon. The kids got a few supporters and participated in it. Bryan Clay is the reigning Decathlon Olympic Champion and "Worlds Greatest Athlete". All the classes did a decorating door contest about wellness, eating right, exercise and other wellness stuff.

Here is Jace walking his laps. All the classes had a flag which the kids passed around as they were walking. I was able to catch Jace when he had the flag.

Even though it was a walk-a-thon, a lot of the kids ran. Here is Kade leading a pack of 2nd graders. I think Kade made it around the "track" 22 times.

Here is Abi with a bunch oi her friends. They were suppose to wear red, white and blue. Abi had on a red t-shirt with a light blue tank over it. So she put her headband around her leg for the white. She is a silly little girl sometimes!

Overall it was a great event. I had signed up to help during the Kindergarten time, but ended up staying the entire day because other parents did not show up. It was fun. Since it was our first time doing this at the school, we really did not know what to expect. We have a lot of ideas for next year!
