We went to church on Sunday morning, then we headed back to the Phoenix area. I thought this sign on the highway was funny, so I had Mike take a picture of it.
We stopped in Stafford at Pres. Spencer W. Kimballs childhood home. It was a very pretty home.
We also ventured off the road to try and find the river. We did not have any luck in finding the river, but we saw this donkey leading a group of cows and thought it was pretty funny.
Along the drive we stopped at a park for lunch. We had crackers and cheese, apples and carmel and candy. (good lunch!) We took a family photo (with Grandma Sue) on this train car.
The kids and grandma had a good time playing on the train.
We then dropped Grandma off at the airport and headed to Uncle Toms to sleep. On Monday morning the kids and Mike had a good time swimming (mommy forgot her bathing suit.... bummer!) Then we headed home. We stopped along the way and took lots of pictures of cacti (another post... another day). We also stopped at the Joshua Tree National Park. We decided to go on a hike.
Here are the kids playing on a rock.
Posing on a rock.
Jumping off a rock.
Abi and Kade playing in a rusty old car.
Madison drinking out of a rusty old can.
Our family.
It was a fun trip and a fun drive home!
