Grandpa's Induction

Grandpa Frank was inducted into the Santa Ana College Hall of Fame.  He played Football for them (a really long time ago).

Here is a picture of the Hall of Fame Banners

Grandpa was introduced by his former coach, Coach Moore.  He said a lot of nice things about Grandpa. He gave grandpa a cool trophy thing.

Grandpa gave a speech (he cried)

Here are the kids with Grandpa

Mike with his Dad

They have a plaque in the physical education building.  All of the current and former inductees have a similar plaque.  They are etched and behind a big glass window.

It was a very nice event.  It is nice for the kids to see grandpa honored for his accomplishments in football.  Congratulations Grandpa Frank!

Glad you guys could go.

My Dad sent me an article recently that was in the newspaper in Payson about him. As I read it I thought Wow! this guy is really cool, look at all he did. But when I was done I couldn't help but think, "No success compensates for failure in the home." Don't get me wrong I am proud of my Dad, but I now really understand that quote from one of our prohhets (I can't remember which one said it). It was a good lesson for me to understand and hopefully will always remember as a Mother and wife.

I am amazed at how much Mike looks like his Dad when they were standing next to each other. I really like what Tracey wrote, really personal.
