Turning our Tents to the Prophet

In Mosiah 2:6  it talks about how the people traveled to listen to the Prophet Mosiah speak.  They put up their tents around the temple.  I read on a blog somewhere that they did this with their kids for General Conference.

I have the hardest time getting the boys to be quiet and listen.  I thought I would give it a try.  We got out the old pop up play tents.
Here is Kade in his.
Jace in his.
It worked for about the first 3 talks, then it was noisy again!  We will try again tomorrow morning!

That is a really cute idea! I saw on Sugar doodle, I was going to tell you; it has little booklets that you can print off, for kids to do during COnference.

We built a tent one year after reading that idea in the friend or Ensign. We had about the same success. I think Conference with little kids is just noisy! Good thing it comes out in the Ensign. For a while now I have been very organized and have all sorts of "conference" activities for the kids, I realized yesterday morning that I had none, puzzles and coloring worked for us. If you are wanting ideas the Friend website has printable sheets too. Good luckl today!
